In Garhwa, police kept laborers in custody for 10 hours, hungry and thirsty, accused of taking 10 thousand rupees

It’s alleged that the picket in-charge launched the employees late within the night after taking Rs 10,000 from them for plucking kendu leaves. Whereas leaving the picket, a particular sensor of kendu leaves was warned about promoting kendu leaves within the centre. Villagers who don’t achieve this have been threatened with jail on costs of kendu leaf theft.

Giving details about the entire matter on Sunday, the villagers stated that the laborers dwelling in Fakiradih village of Bhandaria police station space informed that folks have been returning after plucking kendu leaves from Bijka forest of the village on Saturday morning. As a result of heavy load of leaves, they have been stopped whereas loading them on the bike and tempo. In reality, the Bijka picket in-charge stopped them by accusing them of stealing kendu leaves. Villagers informed that in this era, on the request of the clerk related to Kendu leaf buying heart who was with the in-charge, the picket in-charge left the opposite laborers. Whereas on the directions of the identical clerk, the in-charge took him into custody. Advised that different launched laborers have been additionally returning to the village after plucking kendu leaves on bike and different means.

Villagers do leaf plucking yearly

The villagers informed that like yearly, this time too they’ve began the work of plucking kendu leaves within the Bijka forest of the village. They earn quantity of earnings from this enterprise. Villagers informed that 15 laborers have been returning after plucking kendu leaves on three bikes and a tempo. Laborers informed that two buying facilities of Kendu leaves are open within the village. They promote kendu leaves on the nearest centre. However on the behest of the scribe of 1 Kendu leaf centre, the administration is pressurizing them to promote it in one other sensor centre.

10 thousand rupees have been collected from the villagers

Villagers informed that Rs 10,000 have been recovered from 4 villagers who have been returning after plucking kendu leaves. Amongst these, 4 thousand rupees have been collected from Shivnath Chaudhary, who was bringing kendu leaves on a motorized vehicle, and two thousand rupees every have been collected from Ramchandra Chaudhary, Ashok Chaudhary and Santosh Chaudhary, who have been bringing the leaves on a motorcycle, and so they have been launched from the picket.

The allegation is incorrect, the sensor had given a written criticism: In-charge

When requested on this regard, Bijka picket in-charge Niranjan Paswan stated that the allegations of the villagers are incorrect. Sensor Rakesh Gupta had complained about Kendu leaves plucked from Bijka forest being offered to a different sensor in Bhandaria police station. On the request of Bhandaria Inspector, he investigated the matter. However the cash has not been recovered. He stated that he has defined to the employees that the forest for which the tender has been made. They need to promote kendu leaves within the respective sensor facilities solely. Resulting from not doing this the sensor is getting broken every single day.
