On Gujarat Foundation Day, BJP's Kheda candidate criticizes Congress' legacy, nepotism

Kheda: On the event of sixty fourth Basis Day of Gujarat, Lok Sabha candidate from Kheda, Devusingh Chauhan addressed the enlightened residents' convention and fiercely focused the Congress.

Reflecting on the state's journey since its institution in 1960, Chouhan criticized “historic governance challenges caused by the Congress Party”, which he described as “ridden with injustice and nepotism”.

He “emphasised the transformation seen in Gujarat and the country as a whole, pointing out the changes that have taken place since 2004, paying particular attention to the years of disappointment between 2004 and 2014 under the previous administration.”

The Lok Sabha candidate additionally “discussed the importance of Gujarat in the global context, noting the state's role in the recent G20 meetings held in Delhi and the broader implications for India on the world stage.”

He talked about the completion of the Lord Ram temple, which he linked to the broader narrative of cultural revival and nationwide pleasure below the present authorities.

Because the dialog moved nearer to the upcoming elections, Chauhan urged the viewers to train their proper to vote, and drew a symbolic parallel with Lord Ram adorning his brow with 'tilak'.

He careworn the significance of voting as an essential act of civic obligation that shapes the way forward for the nation.

Chouhan's political journey within the area started together with his victory within the 2014 common elections, the place he secured the seat as a BJP candidate.

His continued success was evident within the 2019 elections, the place he gained by an enormous margin of 367,145 votes, garnering 714,572 votes, which was 65 per cent of the vote share.

His nearest rival, Bimal Shah of Congress, secured 347,427 votes, representing 31.55 per cent of the votes.

Earlier, Devusingh had made headlines by urging to look at a “no-meat” day in Kheda on January 22, on the event of the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
