22 killed in Mumbai due to torrential rains, IMD issues red alert – News8Plus Headline

Mumbai. A minimum of 22 individuals have been killed and 6 others injured in two separate incidents of landslides and home collapses following torrential rains in Mumbai.

The police management room stated 11 incidents of wall collapses and landslides, 13 incidents of short-circuits, 9 incidents of felling of timber within the areas have been reported from Saturday evening to Sunday morning.

17 individuals have been killed and two others have been injured when a wall collapsed in Mahul’s New Bharat Nagar attributable to heavy in a single day rains within the metropolis, they stated.
