Sensex slipped 173 factors, Nifty stayed at 11,671
The home inventory market was weak for the second consecutive day on Thursday. The Sensex slipped almost 173 factors to shut at 39750, whereas the Nifty tilted 59 factors to 11,671. On the final day of the expiry of the futures and choices contracts of the October collection, the home inventory market was unstable.
The Sensex closed at 39,749.85, down 172.61 factors, or 0.43 per cent, from the earlier session, whereas the Nifty closed at 11,670.80, down 58.80 factors or 0.50 per cent.
The 30-share Bombay Inventory Trade (BSE) Sensex, the main delicate index, opened 385.29 factors down at 39,537.17 from the earlier session and rose to 40,010.83 in the course of the day’s buying and selling, whereas the Sensex closed at 39,524.25.
