Indian and Sri Lankan navies have seized 500 kg of chemical intoxicants from a fishing boat within the Arabian Sea. Crystal meth price Rs 75 crore was seized from two Sri Lankan flagged boats. The 2 boats and the 9 individuals on board had been handed over to the Sri Lankan Navy.
The investigation was primarily based on data obtained from the Sri Lankan Navy. The raid was carried out with the assistance of a ship and two plane from the Kochi South Naval Headquarters. The boats had been monitored by a long-range maritime surveillance plane and a remotely piloted plane. The Navy's operations had been coordinated by the Data Fusion Middle at Gurgaon.
