Adoor > 9 individuals injured in a collision between a KSRTC bus and a pick-up van in Vadakkadathukav on MC street. Two individuals have been severely injured. The accident occurred at 1 am on Thursday. A KSRTC bus touring from Thrissur to Thiruvananthapuram collided with a van touring from Anchal to Pandalam. The affect triggered the pickup to overturn on the street. Eyewitnesses mentioned that the accident occurred when the pickup van's axle broke and it went uncontrolled.
Vijayan, a local of Kollam Anchal, and Arun, who was touring with the pickup driver, have been severely injured. They have been admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical Faculty Hospital. Bus passengers Shivani from Mavelikara, Thomas from Enath Pudusseribagha, Evangelia from Thrissur, Preeti from Kallara and daughter Bhavya, Khani from Kesavadasapuram Pushpavadi and Poonam from Odisha have been injured. They have been admitted to Adoor General Hospital.
The injured have been taken to the final hospital beneath the management of the locals and Adoor fireplace rescue personnel. The pickup needed to be reduce open to get the injured out. Following the accident, there was a visitors jam on MC Highway.
