BJP Meghalaya West president Bernard N Marak (RIMPU), who was absconding within the case of working a prostitution middle together with minor women, has been arrested.
He was arrested from Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. On Saturday, police raided a resort owned by Rimpu at Tura in West Garo district and rescued six minor women. Rimpu is the People’s Consultant of Garo Hill Autonomous District Council. Marak, who was a member of Achik Nationwide Voluntary Council (B) which was a terrorist group, later joined the BJP.
