AAP gave the formula to divide Chandigarh, also demanded 20-20 thousand crores for Punjab-Haryana.

Punjab Amidst the continuing battle between Punjab and Haryana over Chandigarh, Rajya Sabha MP and Aam Aadmi Party’s Haryana in-charge Sushil Gupta has mentioned that the central authorities ought to divide Chandigarh into two elements. He gave the formulation to pay Rs 20,000 crore to the 2 governments to make them separate capitals.

Based on a report, Gupta mentioned, “What do we gain by passing a resolution only to criticize and provide no solution? Instead of calling a special session and doing nothing, the state government should go to the center and ask for its authority. They should ask for half of Chandigarh and Rs 20,000 crore.”

Gupta was in the city to preside over the party’s South Zone workers meeting today. He said that the party would also come to power in Haryana. Gupta said that in 2025, both Haryana and Punjab will have AAP government. He also said that both Rajdhani and SYL issues will be resolved.

  1. Gupta said, “The present government has no intention of resolving the issues and neither did their predecessors. They just want to politicize this issue and that is why it has been going on for so many decades. If both the state governments sit and talk with the intention of the resolution, then it will be resolved in a day. CM Khattar does not have a will. Apart from talking about water distribution in both the states, we should also talk about the water going into Pakistan. 70 percent of our water is going to Pakistan which should be stopped because our lands are drying up. There was water crisis in Delhi but today every house has water as it was our intention to solve the problem.” Gupta mentioned that the central authorities is insecure with AAP, which is barely 10 years outdated celebration.
