Adv. Vatsaraja Kurup murder; The accused were acquitted

Kannur: The Thalassery District Periods Courtroom has acquitted all of the accused within the homicide case of Thalassery bar lawyer Vatsaraja Kurup in Panur as a consequence of lack of proof. Sajeevan (34) of Champatte Ettu Veetil, Chetty Shaji (27) of Champatte Ok Shaji, Kirmani Manoj alias Manoj (28) of Pantakkal Malayatt Veetil, Satheesan (34) of Pannyannur Palapoyil, Kuniyil Kakkadan Prakashan (32) of Nidumbaram West and Souparnikayil of Souparnikayil in Arayaku The deceased have been recognized as KV Ragesh, 26, of Kooteri, Arayakool.

The homicide came about on the night time of March 4, 2007. The Crime Department discovered that the dispute over monetary transactions and the insult to the third accused within the case, Vatsaraja Kurup, led to the homicide. The Excessive Courtroom referred the case to the Crime Department following a petition filed by Vatsaraja Kurup’s spouse Bindu.
