After Hindenburg's allegations on SEBI chief, Congress said- now we know why the Parliament was suddenly adjourned indefinitely

The Congress on Monday slammed Madhavi Buch, the pinnacle of regulator Securities and Change Board of India (SEBI), over allegations levelled in opposition to her by US short-seller Hindenburg Research, and quoted a Latin proverb saying, “Who will guard the watchman?”

Hindenburg alleged that SEBI chairperson Buch and her husband had stakes in shadowy offshore funds used within the alleged Adani cash laundering rip-off.

Tagging Hindenburg's put up containing the allegations, Congress basic secretary Jairam Ramesh wrote on the social media platform X, “Quis custodiet ipsos custodes (Who will guard the watchman?).”
