NEW DELHI: The Lok Sabha Speaker withdrew the suspension of 4 Congress MPs on Monday after the Opposition assured that they won’t carry placards into the Home.
Speaker Om Birla gave the ruling and requested the members to respect the sanctity of the Home. The proposal for the withdrawal of the suspensions was moved by parliamentary affairs minister Pralhad Joshi
The 4 Congress MPs — Manickam Tagore, Ramya Haridas, Jothimani and TN Prathapan — had been suspended final Monday for the complete Monsoon Session ending August 12 for holding protests with placards contained in the Home. Speaker Om Birla had earlier warned them to behave and to not wave the placards contained in the Home in the event that they needed to protest.
Because the proceedings started within the Lok Sabha final Monday after the swearing-in ceremony of President Droupadi Murmu, the opposition members began sloganeering on the difficulty of worth rise and hiked GST charges. Some MPs had been seen holding placards and banners and a few Opposition MPs reached the properly of the Home.
