In an alert posted on its web site, WHO stated, “This WHO Medical Product Alert is in reference to two substandard (contaminated) products, which were observed to be substandard in Uzbekistan, and reported to WHO on December 22, 2022. Substandard medical products are products that have failed to meet quality standards and therefore should not be used.”
The WHO alert states that these two merchandise are AMBRONOL syrup and DOK-1 Max syrup. The acknowledged producer of each these merchandise is Marion Biotech Pvt Ltd (Uttar Pradesh, India). This producer has not given any assure to WHO concerning the protection and high quality of those merchandise until date.
