Lucknow While the Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding the possibility of cyclonic storm Yas in West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Andaman and Nicobar Islands, the meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Kanpur, Dr. SN Sunil Pandey, has also done Uttar Pradesh. Warning has been issued for 27 districts. A storm is also said to be coming in UP between May 24 and May 28. Scientist Dr SN Sunil Pandey reported that when Oman-named Hurricane ‘Yas’ would develop on 24 May, there would be a sea-level extension of barely 500–600 km before the coast. The storm is expected to move northwestwards towards West Bengal and North Odisha coast by 25 or 26 May.
Very heavy rains and thunderstorms make the weather bad
Conditions are favorable in terms of sea surface temperature and wind shear. In such a situation, it can turn into a severe cyclonic storm. Nevertheless, the storm will be strong enough to cause bad weather conditions due to very heavy rainfall and high velocity thunderstorms. Its effect can be seen in dozens of districts of West and Purvanchal of UP. This change in weather in central UP will not be very effective, but still some effect of the change in weather can be seen in the form of rain. He has said that storm warnings have been given in 27 districts of the state between May 24 and 28. The District Magistrates and Relief Commissioners of all these districts have been asked to be on alert. Along with this, the people of the respective districts have also been asked to be careful with themselves. People of these districts have been advised to keep an eye on the weather and keep themselves as safe as possible.
These districts of UP can get a storm
The Meteorological Department has warned the districts of Moradabad, Bijnor, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Kasganj located in the western region of Uttar Pradesh to be on alert. Similarly, districts falling in Purvanchal, Sultanpur, Jaunpur, Ambedkaranagar, Azamgarh, Mau, Ghazipur, Ballia, Deoria, Sant Kabir Nagar, Maharajganj, Gonda, Shravasti, Balrampur, Siddharthnagar, Basti and Kushinagar districts have been alerted. Apart from this, warnings have been issued by the Meteorological Department for Bahraich, Barabanki, Ayodhya, Amethi district.
