Amarnath Yatra postponed due to bad weather – News8Plus Headline

Srinagar. The Amarnath Yatra, which was postponed attributable to inclement climate, resumed on Wednesday on the Baltal and Nunwan routes within the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

In line with sources, over 75,000 pilgrims provided prayers on the holy cave on the Amarnath temple until Wednesday morning within the 43-day pilgrimage that started on June 30.

Sources mentioned 10,081 pilgrims, together with 2,502 girls, 181 kids and 75 sadhus, left for the cave on Baltal highway in Ganderbal district within the morning. He mentioned 249 pilgrims have been airlifted to the holy cave by 11 am.

On Tuesday, no pilgrims have been allowed from the Baltal base camps at Nunwan and Ganderbal in Pahalgam to the cave attributable to unhealthy climate.

In line with the Meteorological Division, there’s a risk of reasonable rain all through the day in direction of Baltal, Dumel, Brimarg, Sangam and Holy Cave. Pahalgam is anticipated to be cloudy with reasonable rain.
