At the same time, the round of demonstration is going on against former state minister and former MLA of Domjud, Rajiv Banerjee. There are continuous protests from Trinamool workers. At the same time, the limit was reached on Monday when Rajiv Banerjee’s effigy was burnt in Salap area of ​​Domjud and during this Trinamool workers raised slogans against him.
Procession taken out against Rajiv
On Monday itself, a protest procession was taken out by Trinamool workers from Salap of Domjud to Amta Road. There were posters and flax in the hands of Trinamool workers and an appeal to not include Rajiv Banerjee in the party. Trinamool workers allege that when the Chief Minister needed them just before the elections, they betrayed and joined the opposition party. Now they want to join Trinamool back. Hence he has requested that he should not be re-inducted in the party as it was only after joining BJP that Rajiv Banerjee had made several criticisms against the Chief Minister. At the same time, when an attempt was made to contact the former state minister in this matter, he could not be contacted.
Trinamool gave ministerial post
After winning the election from Domjud assembly constituency in the year 2011 and 2016, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had given Rajiv Banerjee a ministerial post twice. In the year 2019, Banerjee changed her party and joined the BJP.
Party leaders are also criticizing
Many big leaders of the party have also been continuously criticizing Rajiv. Saugata Roy said that before the elections when the Chief Minister was needed the most. At that time he changed the party, there is no need to include such defectors in the party. At the same time, MP Kalyan Banerjee says that Rajiv Banerjee is zero.
