Srinagar: Kashmiri Pandit organizations have determined to boycott the meeting elections in Jammu and Kashmir because the election day approaches. Alleging that the authorities usually are not prepared to just accept the genocide that has been occurring towards them for many years, the organizations have determined to boycott the elections.
Meeting elections are going to be held in Jammu and Kashmir after a niche of 10 years. That is the primary election after the abrogation of the particular standing of Jammu and Kashmir. Elections in Jammu and Kashmir shall be held in three phases on 18th, twenty fourth and 1st of October this month.
The organizations stated, “For decades, we have been a society in exile, and successive governments and political parties have made our issues a talking point only during elections and used them only for the sake of elections. Hence, the upcoming elections do not represent them.”
