BJP appointed former IAS officer AK Sharma as the vice-president of the party in Uttar Pradesh.

New Delhi : Former IS officer AK Sharma, who joined BJP a few days ago, has been made the vice-president of Uttar Pradesh. AK Sharma is considered close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Let us tell you that AK Sharma has been an officer of Gujarat cadre. A few days back, he had joined BJP. BJP is busy in preparations for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. Under this, the party has today appointed MLC AK Sharma as the vice-president of UP. Apart from him, Archana Mishra and Amit Valmiki have been made state ministers.
Who is AK Sharma?
AK Sharma, an IAS officer of Gujarat cadre, is considered very close to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He has been with PM Modi since 2001 when he took oath as the CM of Gujarat. He has also been the additional principal secretary to the CM after the secretary of the CM’s office in Gujarat. Sharma had also handled the responsibility of organizing Vibrant Gujarat, an investors’ conference to be held in Gujarat.
In 2014, when Gujarat CM Narendra Modi came to Delhi as PM, Sharma also came to Delhi on central deputation as Joint Secretary in the PM’s office. While taking voluntary retirement, he was working as Secretary in the Ministry of MSME.
Sharma is from Mau in Uttar Pradesh
AK Sharma is originally from Kajhakhurd village of Mau district of Uttar Pradesh. 58-year-old Sharma had his early education from the village itself, after that he studied till 12th from DAV Inter College. He did his graduation and masters in Political Science from Allahabad University and after that he was selected for the Indian Administrative Service in 1988, where he was given the Gujarat cadre.
