When will the meeting elections in Arunachal Pradesh?

169 candidates are within the fray within the meeting elections

A complete of 169 candidates will contest for 60 meeting seats within the state. The variety of legitimate nominations for the meeting elections contains 59 candidates from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), 23 from Congress, 16 from Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and 23 from Nationwide People's Party (NPP). 14 candidates are contesting for the elections to be held on April 19 on two Lok Sabha seats of Arunachal Pradesh. Union Earth Sciences Minister Kiren Rijiju and Arunachal Pradesh Congress Committee President Nabam Tuki have filed their nominations from Arunachal West Lok Sabha seat. Eight candidates are additionally making an attempt their luck on this seat. Eight impartial candidates are contesting from each the Lok Sabha seats of the state.

BJP was dominant in 2019

Bharatiya Janata Party had carried out brilliantly within the 2019 meeting elections. BJP had gained 41 seats within the 60-member meeting. Whereas Janata Dal (United) had gained 7 seats, Nationwide People's Party (NPP) had gained 5, Congress Party had gained 4, People's Party of Arunachal (PPA) had gained 1 seat and Independents had gained 2 seats.
