In the elections to six municipal corporations of Gujarat, the turnout was 46.1 percent. A total of 144 wards of Ahmedabad, Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, Bhavnagar and Jamnagar municipal corporations were voted on Sunday from 7 am to 6 pm. According to the final figures released by the commission, Ahmedabad recorded the lowest turnout of 42.5 percent and Jamnagar 53.4 percent.
