Bollywood pays tribute to India’s first Oscar winner Bhanu Athaiya

Mumbai: A number of Bollywood celebrities, together with movie producer Boney Kapoor, actress Simi Grewal and designer Neeta Lulla, mourned the loss of life of Oscar-winning costume designer Bhanu Athaiya on Thursday. Athaiya was 91 years previous. He obtained the Oscar Award in 1983 for his excellent work within the movie ‘Gandhi’. He was cremated on the Chandanwadi crematorium in south Mumbai.
