Kolkata: Below the South Bengal Frontier, Border Safety Force personnel have seized 1679 Phensedyl bottles over the last 24 hours in separate incidents, thwarting the makes an attempt of smugglers from their border space. Additionally, in a single incident, an Indian smuggler has been arrested with 8 bottles of Phensedyl. The overall worth of the seized Phensedyl has been estimated at Rs 3,44,715- Rs. Smugglers had been making an attempt to smuggle these Phensedyl bottles from India to Bangladesh.

The jawans of Border Outpost Bithari, 112th Corps, Sector Kolkata had been on day by day responsibility close to the Worldwide Border. In one other incident, troopers of BSF Border Outpost Khasmahal, 141st Corps, Sector Berhampur cordoned off the realm and launched a search operation. Seeing the troopers coming in direction of them, the smugglers fled benefiting from the darkish and tough land. After a radical search of the realm, 1671 bottles of Phensedyl had been seized. The seized materials has been handed over to Sagarpara Police Station for additional authorized motion.
