Hundreds of thousands of people from the rural areas of Bangalore have rallied under the slogan of isolating the BJP and ending the Trinamool’s violent rule. The influx of people to Kolkata started from Saturday. Those from North Bengal arrived in trains and other vehicles.
Preparations are underway across the state to make the rally a historic event. Workers, farmers, agricultural workers, students and youth are vying for the success of the rally. The influx of people into the brigade to quell the mass resistance despite severe violence and intimidation. The brigade will send a warning message to the BJP and Trinamool for a strong fight by the Left Democratic Parties. Minorities who have supported Trinamool for years will rally in large numbers to protest Mamata’s anti-democratic actions. Along with the Left Front and other democratic secular parties, the Indian Secular Front, which represents religious minorities and backward classes, will also join the rally. Abbas Siddiqui, chairman of the Secular Front of India, called on the minority community to rally in support of the Left.
Explaining the preparations for the rally, Biman Basu, chairman of the Left Front, said that the Left Front was fighting to save Bumgal.
