Case filed against BJP MP Bonde for making controversial statement on Rahul Gandhi, had called for burning tongues

A case was registered in Maharashtra's Amravati on Wednesday towards BJP Rajya Sabha member Anil Bonde for making objectionable remarks about Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, police stated. Bonde had stirred an argument by saying that he had burnt Rahul Gandhi's tongue over his assertion on reservation.
Earlier, following a sit-in protest by Congress leaders and staff, together with Amravati MP Balwant Wankhede, MLA Yashomati Thakur, former minister Sunil Deshmukh, outdoors the town police commissioner's workplace, a case was registered towards MP Anil Bonde at Amravati's Rajapeth police station below sections 192 (intentional provocation with intent to trigger a riot), 351 (2) (deliberately inflicting prison pressure to a different particular person) and 356 (punishment for defamation) of the IPC.

So if someone says anything absurd abroad, his tongue should be branded instead of cutting it. It is necessary to brand the tongue of such people – whether it is Rahul Gandhi, Gyanesh Maharao or Shyam Manav or those who hurt the sentiments of Bahujans and majorities.” A author named Maharao is accused of constructing derogatory remarks towards Hindu gods and goddesses not too long ago, whereas Manav is an anti-superstition activist.
