Case registered against woman claiming to be second wife of Maharashtra minister

Pune Police has registered a case in opposition to Karuna Sharma, who claims to be the second spouse of Maharashtra minister Dhananjay Munde, for making casteist remarks on a 23-year-old lady. Police stated the girl alleged in her grievance that her husband had allegedly compelled her to divorce her citing an affair with Sharma. Sharma is accused of creating casteist remarks on the complainant girl and threatening her with a hockey stick. The police have additionally invoked related sections of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act in opposition to Sharma for his alleged remarks in opposition to the complainant. “A case was registered at Yerwada police station on Sunday and we are probing it,” the official stated.
