CBI arrests businessman in 184 crore bank fraud case.

Kolkata : The Anti-Corruption Unit of the CBI on Monday raided the home of a businessman in South Kolkata in reference to the multi-crore financial institution fraud case and arrested him. Sources mentioned that the CBI officers reached the businessman’s home at Ranikothi at round 7.15 am and began the search after taking the principle accused into custody. Sources mentioned that the CBI has taken into custody Ashish Jhunjhunwala, proprietor of Ramswaroop Industries positioned in Dalhousie space. Sources mentioned that the accused has allegedly defrauded the banks of Rs 184 crore.
Sources mentioned that Jhunjhunwala has a home in Tollygunge space. It’s alleged that some financial institution officers assisted him on this work. In response to sources, how he defrauded the nationwide banks to the tune of Rs 184 crore can be being investigated. It’s noteworthy that the duty of investigating this matter was entrusted to the CBI on behalf of the mentioned financial institution. This case was registered towards the businessman for not returning the mortgage quantity on behalf of the financial institution in 2020.
