Clean chit to Modi in Gujarat genocide; Severe disappointment: Tanvir Jaffrey

Tanvir Jaffrey, son of slain Congress MP Ifsan Jaffrey, mentioned he was dissatisfied with the Supreme Courtroom verdict upholding the SIT’s clear chit to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and others concerned within the Gujarat genocide.

Ifzan Jafri’s spouse Zakia’s plea was rejected, citing conspiracy and planning behind the genocide. “The verdict has not been read. There is deep disappointment in the order. The next course of action will be decided after reading the entire verdict,” Tanvir Jaffrey mentioned. He hopes that his spouse, Zakia, will battle the regulation on the age of 85.

SIT report confirmed
Social activist Teesta Setalvad mentioned the Supreme Courtroom had rejected Zakia Jaffrey’s plea that the SIT report was utterly substantiated. It was Teesta, amongst others, who assisted within the years-long authorized battle. The Supreme Courtroom resolution accommodates a reference to Teesta. On February 28, 2002, 68 folks, together with Ihsan Jafri, had been killed in an assault on the Gulberg Society in Ahmedabad.
