In the election results of 5 wards of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, the BJP did not succeed in a single ward, while the Aam Aadmi Party won 4 of these and the Congress in the Muslim majority ward.
The results can be said to be good for the Aam Aadmi Party, but the reality is not so, because out of the 5 wards where the elections took place, 4 wards were already councilors of the Aam Aadmi Party and one was with the BJP. The Aam Aadmi Party, which had won 4 councilor assembly elections and became an MLA, had elections held on its own and the BJP councilor’s seat from Shalimar Bagh was also vacated. But the BJP lost here. At the same time, the common man, Parchi also lost the seat of Chauhan Bangar, called his stronghold. On the other hand, the Congress, which did not have any of these seats, snatched a seat from the Aam Aadmi Party.
