Controversy over Sai Baba's statue in Varanasi, Hindu organization removed statues from many temples

Sai Baba idols have been faraway from a number of temples in Varanasi on Tuesday, after a company referred to as 'Sanatan Rakshak Dal' launched a marketing campaign. The group eliminated an idol of Sai Baba from the Bada Ganesh temple right here and stored it exterior the temple premises. Rammu Guru, chief priest of Bada Ganesh temple, stated, “Sai Baba was being worshiped with out correct data. It’s prohibited as per the scriptures.'' Ajay Sharma, state president of the group 'Sanatan Rakshak Dal', which is working a marketing campaign to take away the idols of Sai Baba from temples, stated, “Solely the supreme deity Lord Shiva needs to be worshiped in Kashi (Varanasi). Respecting the emotions of the devotees, the idols of Sai Baba have already been faraway from 10 temples.
