Counting of elephants started in Sathyamangalam Tiger Sanctuary; Census started from this morning
Erode : The Tamil Nadu Forest Division has began a three-day elephant census on the Sathyamangalam Tiger Sanctuary on Thursday, officers mentioned.
About 300 forest officers have been assigned to hold out the census in ten forest ranges in STR.
Officers mentioned that every one precautionary measures are being taken, reminiscent of offering weapons to forest guards to guard them from animal assaults, ingesting water and meals.
The forest division officers will conduct counting from 6 am to six pm day-after-day until Saturday.
