In Maharashtra, the CPI-M has intensified its marketing campaign in Dahanu, the sitting seat. CPI(M) candidate and sitting MLA Vinod Nikole's public conferences appeal to big crowds. Nicole is contesting from Dahanu in Palghar district as a part of the opposition alliance Mahavikas Aghadi.
CPI-M Politburo member Ashok Dhavle, Central Committee member Maryam Dhavle and others participated within the first normal assembly at Ambesari. PB member Brenda Karat will marketing campaign on Tuesday and Wednesday. Milind Vaidya and Sanjay Patil of Shiv Sena (UBT), Santhosh Extra of Congress, Mihir Shah and Kashinath Chaudhary of NCP may even attend the conferences.
CPI-M has gained 9 out of 10 elections in Dahanu since 1978. BJP's Vinod Suresh Medha is the principle opponent this time. Worli Adivasi agitation led by All India Kisan Sabha and Communist Party happened in Dahanu. Talasari panchayat within the constituency has been underneath CPI-M rule for 58 years. In 2019, Nicole defeated the BJP candidate by 4,707 votes. CPI-M can also be contesting in Kalwan and Solapur Metropolis Central.
