Cyberabad police destroys drugs with Rs 2.5 cr

HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad Police have destroyed medicine price about Rs 2.5 crore.

A complete of 1338.05 kg of ganja (hashish), 485 ml of weed oil, 11 grams of cocaine, all price about Rs 2.5 crore had been destroyed by incineration at Hyderabad Waste Administration Challenge in Dundigal, police stated on Wednesday.

Within the final two years, Cyberabad Commissionerate Police have seized shut to five,406 kgs of ganja, 10.86 liters of cannabis/weed oil, 141 kgs of alprazolam, 206 grams of cocaine, 200 grams of opium, 333 grams of MDMA.

Of this, 1338.05 kgs of Ganja, 485 ml of weed oil and 11 grams of cocaine was seized in eight completely different police stations limits underneath Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.

Police stated 198.321 kgs of hashish and 100 ml of weed oil had been seized underneath the bounds of Dundigal police station.

Management of the drug menace is likely one of the prime priorities of the Cyberabad police.

R. Jagadishwar Reddy, DCP, Shamshabad, has shaped particular groups with regulation and order police stations in coordination with the Particular Operations Staff (SOT) and Narcotic Medicine and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) staff.

“Our topmost priority is to look out for drug dealers and consumers, and have built a robust informant network to assist combat the drug problem and registered 4 drug-related cases in the first half of 2022,” the DCP stated.

Cyberabad police is likely one of the three police commissionerates in Higher Hyderabad.
