Dalit family fined Rs 60k after boy touches Hindu god’s idol

Kolar (Karnataka):A Dalit household in Karnataka’s Koppal district has been fined Rs 60,000 after its boy entered the temple and touched Hindu god’s idol.

In line with native sources, the Dalit boy had touched the idol able to be taken out for the procession on the Hullerahalli village in Malur taluk.

Native residents stated {that a} temple was constructed and the villagers determined to rejoice it.

Through the celebrations three days in the past, Chetan touched the idol and tried to hold it on his head.

At this level, the villagers shooed him away and imposed Rs 60,000 positive on his household.

The village leaders have requested the mother and father of Dalit boy Ramesh and Shobha to not enter village till they pay the positive quantity.

Miscreants are additionally making threatening calls to the boy’s mom.

The Dalit household is but to file a criticism on this regard.
