Delhi: After withdrawal of liquor policy, Congress has now raised the issue of house tax, demand for immediate withdrawal

Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee President Chowdhary Anil Kumar stated, “The increase in house tax and business and license tax from Rs 500 to Rs 1 lakh for doubling the existing amount of MCD will put an unbearable burden on the people because of inflation, unemployment. and are already grappling with the after-effects of the devastation of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

He stated, “When the three municipal firms of Delhi have been merged and MCD elections have been postponed, the BJP authorities on the Heart and BJP leaders had unfold the impression that the Heart would use the cash in MCD to deal with the monetary disaster. As an alternative, it has put extra tax burden on the folks and merchants.”

Congress is going to organize a big agitation on 5th August on the issue of inflation. In this regard, meetings will be held in all the districts first and there will be padyatras from 9 to 15 August on the occasion of 75th anniversary of independence.
