NEW DELHI: Delhi Police have denied permission to comic Munawar Faruqui’s present which was scheduled to happen within the nationwide capital on August 28 citing legislation and order causes.
Earlier, the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) had written a letter to the Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora to cancel his present.
There have been potentialities that the VHP would protest towards the present which might led to legislation and order conditions.
The district police then ready a report and despatched it to the licensing unit mentioning that if the present occurs, it could possibly result in communal tensions.
Joint CP Licensing Dr Om Prakash Mishra advised IANS: “We can’t grant permission to any show which disturbs our communal harmony, which distrub law and order. Our local police sent a report after which we have canceled their request.”
