After a number of days of good points, the inventory market was in a downtrend at the moment, with benchmark indices plunging over 310 factors within the Sensex and 82 factors within the Nifty, wiping away all good points.
The Sensex closed 310.71 factors or 0.53 per cent decrease at 58,774.72, whereas the Nifty closed 82.50 factors or 0.47 per cent decrease at 17,522.45. On Thursday, about 1,905 shares rose, 1,517 shares declined, whereas 130 shares remained unchanged.
Bajaj Finance, Energy Grid Company of India, Infosys, TCS and IndusInd Financial institution have been the foremost losers, whereas the BSE IT index fell 0.88 per cent and the Nifty IT index fell 0.87 per cent.
