Social media platform 'Koo' will probably be closed, founders stated 'goodbye'

Home social media platform 'Koo', which as soon as gave competitors to social media platform 'Twitter' (now X), is now going to close down. Its co-founders wrote an emotional 'observe' informing about 'powerful selections' and known as it 'goodbye'. In a submit on LinkedIn, the platform's co-founders Aprameya Radhakrishna and Mayank Bidawatka introduced that the platform will shut down its companies for the general public. Talks for partnership with a number of massive web firms, teams and media homes didn’t yield the specified outcomes.

They wrote, “We explored the possibility of partnership with several large internet companies, groups and media houses, but these talks did not yield the result we wanted.” Each of them stated that though they needed to maintain the app going, “the cost of technology services to keep a social media app running is high. So we have had to take this difficult decision.” The founders stated, “We were just a few months away from overtaking Twitter in India in 2022… If we had capital, we could have achieved that goal at twice the speed.”

Nevertheless, he stated that because of lack of funds within the firm, it grew to become troublesome to execute the plans. This slowed down the expansion of the platform. Each of them stated, “The little yellow bird bids a final goodbye.” The emblem of the platform is a bit yellow fowl.

It’s value noting that the recognition of 'Koo' in India was at its peak round 2021. At the moment, the Indian authorities was in a dispute with Twitter (now named X) and the demand for increasing the surroundings of the home digital platform was rising. There was a time when about 21 lakh individuals used 'Koo' day by day. Many celebrities even have accounts on the platform.
