Election Commission warns Tripura BJP candidate for calling CPI-M 'party of murderers'

Agartala: The Election Fee on Friday cautioned BJP's former Tripura Lok Sabha candidate Kriti Devi Debbarma, who had referred to as the opposition CPI-M a “party of murderers”.

CPI-M's Tripura state secretary Jitendra Chaudhary lodged a grievance on this regard with Chief Election Commissioner Rajeev Kumar on Tuesday.

Chaudhary, who can also be the chief of the opposition in Tripura, additionally despatched video footage of Debbarma's speech and different paperwork alongside along with his grievance to the CEC.

The BJP candidate used the time period throughout his speech at an election rally in Fatikroy in North Tripura on Monday.

Debbarma, a member of Tripura's erstwhile royal dynasty, is the elder sister of Tipra Motha Party supremo and royal scion Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma.
