South Korea’s presidential election was held on March 9, with a voter turnout of 77.1 %. There are 44 million voters within the nation, out of which 34 million voters had exercised their franchise.
Mr. Yoon acquired 48.56 % of the vote, whereas his major rival, Lee Jae-myung, a candidate of the ruling Democratic Party of South Korea, acquired 47.83 % of the vote.
