Fish died in large numbers in parts of the Ashtamudi lake

Fish died in giant numbers in several elements of Ashtamudi lake. The incident happened in Kuthikkadav and Mutthamula areas. Fisheries officers arrived and picked up samples and began testing.

The fish began floating lifeless from yesterday night. The native residents say that it’s the first time that they’ve seen fish dying in all of the quays so broadly. Locals say that air pollution is the reason for the fish dying.

The dumping of concrete waste from the development of the nationwide freeway into the lake was seen by the locals. Officers are checking whether or not this has a job behind the incident. The stench can also be sturdy on this space.
