Kochi: 4 customs officers, together with superintendents, have been suspended for helping in gold smuggling at Karipur airport. The CBI had seized Rs 1 crore from folks, together with customs officers, in a raid following an enormous gold smuggling operation. With this, eight customs officers had been suspended within the case.
The suspension is for 2 superintendents and two inspectors. Earlier, the Customs Preventive Commissioner had suspended 4 folks, together with the superintendent, pending additional investigation. The motion relies on the CBI report.
