Government asked CJI to nominate his successor: Sources


New Delhi: The central authorities has written to Chief Justice of India (CJI) Uday Umesh Lalit, asking him to appoint his successor. Sources gave this data on Friday. He stated that this letter has been despatched solely on Friday morning.

Justice Uday Umesh Lalit is retiring on November 8. Justice DY Chandrachud is the senior-most decide after the CGI and the principle contender for the submit.
