Government orders investigation into irregularities in 12 colleges of DU

New Delhi: Delhi’s Larger Education Ministry has ordered an inquiry into 12 faculties affiliated with Delhi University which are absolutely funded by the Delhi authorities.

The federal government has alleged main monetary irregularities in all these 12 faculties.

The Larger Education Minister has requested the Secretary (Larger Education) to analyze the alleged irregularities in these faculties.

The ministry has alleged that there are main procedural irregularities in these faculties, which have appointed 1897 workers, together with 939 educating and 958 non-teaching employees, with out the approval of GNCTD.

The ministry stated it is a clear violation of established authorities procedures and guidelines.

It talked about that the lapses included costing lots of of crores of rupees from the federal government exchequer.

“Colleges have not submitted ATR. Accountability demands transparent, judicious spending of public funds, which is repeatedly violated by these colleges,” the ministry stated.

It stated contracts price crores of rupees for security and sanitation works in these faculties have been executed with out following the GFR and in violation of accounting norms and the “pattern of assistance” authorised by GNCTD.
