The Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) has warned that BJP-ruled Gujarat is mired in debt. The CAG report submitted to the Gujarat Legislative Meeting on March 31 mentioned that the federal government must repay 61 per cent of the overall debt over the following seven years, which might put the state in disaster. The income deficit of the state is Rs 10,997 crore.
Gujarat PSUs misplaced Rs 30,400 crore. Gujarat State Highway Transport Company and Gujarat State Petroleum Company are in debt.
