Haridwar: Split in All India Akhara Parishad, arenas divided into two factions, seven elected their president

In response to sources, the assembly held in Haridwar was presided over by ABAP vice-president of Nirmal Akhara, Devendra Singh Shastri, who introduced the appointment of Mahant Ravindra Puri of Mahanirvani Akhara as president and Mahant Rajendra Das of Nirmohi Akhara as basic secretary. This stunning transfer has successfully cut up the 13-member Akhara Parishad into two teams.

The primary group consists of seven akhadas specifically Nirmohi, Nivarni, Digambara, Mahanirvani, Atal, Bada Udasin and Nirmal. The six akhadas within the second group are Niranjani, Juna, Avahan, Ananda, Agni and Naya Udasin.
