Heavy rain in three places and heavy rain in 20 places

Thrissur: It has been raining heavily for two days in the state. Heavy rains lashed three areas from 8.30 am on Friday to 8.30 am on Saturday. Heavy rains lashed Kochi, Kottayam and Kodungallur in Thrissur. The maximum rainfall is 204.5 mm. The Kochi Naval Base received 209 mm of rainfall. Idukki Peermede received 208 mm and Thrissur Kodungallur received 200 mm. The state also received heavy rainfall in 20 areas. The state received more than 50 mm of rainfall across the state, according to data released by the state Meteorological Department on Saturday morning.

The maximum rainfall on Saturday was 115.4 mm to 204.4 mm. Accordingly, Thrissur district received 185 mm and Ernakulam South received 175 mm of rainfall. Kannur 159.2, Kozhikode 127.9, Ponnani 139, Pattambi 138.2, Iringalakuda 147, Chalakudy 155, Aluva 119, Cherthala 133, Kayamkulam 118.6, Mavelikkara 120.2, Alappuzha 157.2, Mankomp 126, Kayamkulam 118.6, Kumarakom 162.2, Kollam 138.8, Vaikom 135 , Varkala received 126.8 mm of rainfall.

Summer rainfall from March 1 to May 31 is 362 mm. According to a meteorologist, the country has already received 40 per cent more rainfall than expected by May 15. Gopakumar said in Chola. He added that there would be further increases by May 30.
