Himachal government handed over investigation of constable exam paper leak case to CBI, 73 arrested so far

The BJP authorities in Himachal Pradesh, going through flak in an election 12 months, on Tuesday introduced handing over the probe into the police constable examination paper leak case to the CBI. Asserting this, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur mentioned that the choice on this regard was taken retaining in thoughts the sensitivity of the matter, as 10 suspects should not from the state.

The chief minister, together with cupboard colleagues Suresh Bhardwaj and Mahendra Singh, informed the media that 73 arrests had been made, of which 10 had been from exterior the state. “The SIT set up to investigate the matter has done a wonderful job. To facilitate investigation across India, it was felt that the case should be handed over to the CBI.”

He mentioned the federal government has taken immediate motion in registering an FIR and constituting a Particular Investigation Staff (SIT). He mentioned that the mastermind of the case Shiv Bahadur Singh has been arrested from Varanasi. Other than this, one other accused has been arrested from Bihar.
