Home quarantine holders should keep phone numbers of ward members or councilors

Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has said that those staying in the home quarantine must keep the phone numbers of the respective ward members or councilors. Also keep in mind the numbers of health workers such as the nearest Asha Worker and Health Inspector. Contact your healthcare professional for more information, including testing.

Staying at home isolation is recommended for patients who do not have significant symptoms. But in doing so, you need to make sure that your home has the necessary facilities. The patient needs a bathroom attached room to stay. AC should not be used. The room should be well ventilated. Caregivers should also take precautions. N95 masks should be worn by patients and caregivers when approaching.

Check daily with a pulse oximeter. If symptoms persist, seek immediate medical attention. It can be done through the mobile app of Isanchivani or online consultation.

If you need treatment, contact a healthcare professional and move to a hospital.
Domestic care has been started at the facility for the homeless. CFLTCs and CLTCs have also been strengthened. The government has set up these systems with the aim of making it easier for anyone who is sick to go for isolation or seek treatment. Efforts are being made to make these better. Call the helpline numbers of the respective districts to avail these facilities. Alternatively, call the state level helpline number 1056 and they will be connected to the respective districts. Use the helpline numbers of the respective districts as much as possible.
