IAF's C-17 aircraft successfully takes off on indigenously developed heavy platform

New Delhi: Indian Air Force (IAF) transport plane C-17 has airdropped an indigenously developed heavy platform that may carry a most load of over 22 tonnes.

An IAF official stated that it is a main milestone in direction of self-reliant India.

“The extra long and heavy platform indigenously developed by ADRDE and capable of carrying approximately 45,000 pounds of load was successfully dropped during trials from an IAF C-17 aircraft,” the official stated.
