Kolkata : West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Saturday expressed robust objection to the appointment of vice-chancellors in 25 universities of the state with out the approval of the Chancellor, saying it’s the rule of the ruler and never the rule of regulation. Governor Dhankhar stated in his tweet, ‘Siege of schooling. Ruler’s regulation, not rule of regulation. Mamta authorities appointed vice chancellors for 25 universities with out the approval of the chancellor. He additional stated that the Vice Chancellor of Calcutta University, Sonali Chakraborty has acquired a second time period of full 4 years with none choice. There was no response to the letter written to the Chief Minister on August 17 final. The Governor tweeted, ‘The path of Mamata Banerjee to nominate CU VC Sonali Chakraborty for a second time period for 4 years must be withdrawn.
