Microsoft has released several security updates to fix the vulnerabilities. It has also advised its customers to install them immediately.
Significantly, earlier this week, Microsoft warned its customers of a Chinese-origin new cyber attack that is mainly targeting Microsoft’s on-premises ‘Exchange Server’ software.
It is named ‘hafnium’. It operates from China and has been attacking infectious disease researchers, law firms, higher education institutions, defense contractors, policy think tanks and NGOs in the US for the purpose of obtaining secret information.
